STARS!
Take a break from franks for real all-star eats
What's a weekend of all stars without some all-star dining?
After all, hot dogs and Cracker Jack can only go so far.
Here are nine Oakland County "players" that
The Nomadic Nibbler – The Oakland Press' weekly
anonymous dining reviewer – considers to be a worthwhile
starting lineup if you're looking for a break from ball
park concessions:
The Rib Rack – At this informal spot, where
diners sit on picnic tables, the meat falls off the bones
infused with a luscious, sweet, smokey flavor. The Sticky
Slab combo feeds two adults with a full rack of ribs,
potato, large cole slaw and four rolls, while fish and
seafood offerings include lake perch, breaded fantail
shrimp and breaded smelt. Don't pass up the Rack Potatoes
– they're coated with a seasoned butter sauce and
then broasted, resulting in a crisp skin and meaty interior.
