Did
someboday say barbecue? At the Rib Rack (5304 Dixie Hwy.,
Waterford Township, (248) 623-4800), you can sit on pine
picnic tables and enjoy ribs infused with a luscious,
sweet, smoky flavor and meat that falls off the bone.
Selections include the baby back rib dinner ($12.95),
with a generous nine-rib slab; the JT's Combo ($7.95),
with three ribs and a broasted chicken breast; and the
Sticky Slab ($21.95), which feeds two adults with a full
rack of ribs, medium potato, large coleslaw and four rolls.
When picking spuds, don't pass up the Rack Potatoes, coated
with a seasoned butter sauce and the broasted. Owners
Mike Owens and Mark Tomas even salute the area by putting
jerseys from four nearby high schools – Our Lady
of the Lakes, Mott, Kettering and Clarkston – on
the walls.
